3 Awesome Avocado Snacks for Summer

It’s a proven fact that avocados make everything taste amazing! Well, maybe not proven, but we sure do love them for their amazing versatility, their high fat content, and their deliciousness. Avocados are such a super food and we’ve got a few awesome ways you can enjoy them as snacks. Plus, these four avocado hacks are easy and really hit the spot, especially during the dog days of summer! Start each of these mini recipes by simply slicing your avocado in half and removing the pit. Follow our guidelines below, make the perfect avocado snack, and enjoy! It’s really that simple!

The Sweet Avocado

Who knew you could turn our beloved avocado into something sweet! Start by coating the two avocado halves with coconut oil, then grilling them for around 2 minutes or so until they are nice and toasty. In a bowl, mix chopped mango, unsweetened shredded coconut, and macadamia nuts together. Spoon this lovely mixture into the two avocado halves and drizzle extra coconut oil on top should you so desire. Then go to town on it with a spoon!

The Tex-Mex Avocado

We love a little Tex-Mex and avocados are perfect for the job! Try combining black beans, red onion, corn, queso fresco, and a dash of your favorite hot sauce in a bowl. Mix together and scoop into your two avocado halves! The Tex-Mex avocado leaves lots of room for experimentation too, so you can really personalize the mixture to your taste buds! Other yummy additions to try include taco seasoning, fresh garlic, cilantro, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, white beans, and jalapeños. Don’t be afraid to get creative!

The Venetian Avocado

This one is a total favorite because its so light and always delicious in the summer! Not surprisingly, avocados go super well with Italian food! Start by chopping up tomato and mozzarella and tossing it in a bowl with fresh basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. You can add balsamic or other seasonings if you like, but even if you keep the recipe simple, it still tastes like heaven! Scoop into the two halves of avocado and enjoy this take on an Italian classic!
